This program is designed for children in grades 2nd to 8th in York and Kittery, Maine. YYC hopes to foster imperative lifelong skills through gymnastics, stunting, dance, and more while building confidence and team bonding. Our teams will cheer at football games with York Youth Football from the end of September through October, and close out the season with our end of year exhibition in November!
Registration: April 1st through July 31st, 2026

Introducing the YYC Winter Wildcats! Our Winter Wildcats cheer program is perfect for athletes (grades 4th-7th) ready to bring both spirit and skill to the mat in a competitive setting. This team combines high energy performances with focused training, helping athletes to grow in technique and strength. Practices will be 3 days a week (M/T/Th), with competitions starting in early 2027. Competitions take place on one weekend day January-April. We will participate in a maximum of 5 competitions (schedule to be provided).
We will host tryouts for this team. To be eligible for tryouts, your child must have the skills listed below:

Previous cheerleading experience is helpful but not required! Please note, all athletes that participate in tryouts will not be guaranteed a spot on the team. The coaches will evaluate based on skills performed.
This program is more rigorous and time-intensive than our Fall Cheer program, with a stronger emphasis on team commitment, skill progression and competition readiness.
